If you were to look at any garden you would see that tomatoes are one of the most popular vegetables in a garden. Now with recent little inventions you can grow tomatoes all year round. We are going to take a look at how to grow tomatoes.

Tomatoes are actually pretty easy to plant and grow and come in a huge variety of different plants. Tomatoes should only be planted once the danger of frost has passed as they are a warm season type of plant. If you are buying the plant then start after the last frost but typically if you are using seeds you should start several weeks before the last frost.

So where in your garden should you plant your tomatoes. If you are going to grow tomatoes then you need to plant them in an area where the sun is in high abundance. Tomatoes need constant sun to grow properly.

The next thing to obtain is the soil. The perfect soil to use is organic soil. This can be obtained by using fertilizer whether it be organic or not and also use your compost to add to the soils nutrients. When you are planting make sure to space out your plants about 13 to 17 inches apart. If you are not entirely sure you can always check the package to see the ideal distance to use when planting. Next dig a hole and make sure you use a proper hole size about the size of a ball.

Once the plants are planted then you need to wait until you see flowers beginning to grow, at this point you can move the plant to an external plot. Next you need to place the plant into the hole and cover it up with soil. If you do want your plant to have good roots then you should go deeper into the soil with the tomato plant.

Your last step is to place a cage or a grille next to your plants. When the tomato plants start to grow then you should secure the plants to the cages or grills you made. Once your tomatoes start to grow you just need to water the plants occasionally, pick the ripe tomatoes and enjoy.
